RAMP 2.0

Advanced Wind Analytics

High-accuracy modelling to explain production gaps.

Powered by Windographer, Windnavigator and Openwind

RAMP 2.0 helps wind asset teams understand, quantify and explain the bias between pre-construction analysis and operational figures. Its model-based approach combines a Met Mast Digital Twin (MMDT), turbine-level Reference Wind Speed (RWS) and a site-specific Wind Farm Digital Twin (WFDT) to provide defensible, high-resolution performance attribution.

Method Overview

RAMP 2.0 connects resource modeling, operational wind references and wind farm simulation in a traceable workflow. The result is a clearer view of what changed between the pre-construction view of the asset and the performance observed in operation.

Met Mast Digital Twin (MMDT)

Creates continuous, site-specific wind time series that represent met-mast conditions without requiring permanent on-site hardware.

  • Uses WRF time series refined with machine learning
  • Supports long-term, gap-free operational analysis
  • Improves the wind reference used in downstream modeling
Reference Wind Speed (RWS)

Builds a consistent turbine-level wind reference by combining MMDT information with SCADA-based operational signals.

  • Reduces the impact of biased nacelle measurements
  • Accounts for control modes and turbine behavior
  • Enables consistent turbine-to-turbine comparison
Wind Farm Digital Twin (WFDT)

Represents the wind farm in time-domain to create an ideal production baseline for comparing expected and actual performance.

  • Uses Openwind-based flow and wake modeling
  • Generates ideal production time series
  • Supports sensitivity analysis and operational diagnostics
